Northside Coalition activist Ben Frazier recently traveled across the continents at the invitation of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) to share his experience with fighting Florida anti-protest laws.
The committee, which monitors international human rights violations, met in Geneva, Switzerland for its 107th session. The Northside Coalition is one of the plaintiffs in a lawsuit challenging Florida’s anti-protest law. Also joining Frazier were attorneys from Miami’s Community Justice Project to urge the committee to recognize the impact of Florida anti-protest law on Black peoples rights to demonstrate in the state.
