The Sigma Pi Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. completed their quarterly service project with the distribution of “Bags of Blessings”. Over 100 bags containing personal care items were distributed to individuals facing the challenge of housing insecurity. Chaired by members Glenn Foreman, Jr. and Jeffrey Rumlin, the project was designed to exemplify a portion of the fraternity’s motto, to be “servants of all”. In 2019 Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Sigma Pi Lambda chapter was formed in an effort to increase the bonds of the brotherhood, reclaim inactive brothers into the fraternity and strengthen the bridge between undergraduate and graduate chapters locally to provide a greater presence in Northeast Florida (Clay, Duval and St. John’s county).
