The Beta Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. honored members over the age of sixty with a Finer Womanhood Prayer Breakfast at the chapter’s sorority house. The theme for the event, “The Well-Versed Chapter Sisters, Not a Year under 60,” paid tribute to members through song, verse and praise.
The program highlighted Zeta Phi Beta Sorority’s four principles of Scholarships, Service, Sisterhood and Finer Womanhood. Sorority members Herlena Washington, Latasha Lawrence, Sandy Simpson-Smith and Elaine Randolph each recited a principle accompanied by a prayer bestowing thanks for the Zeta Phi Beta founding five pearls and their vision.
Next, the sorority is planning a Community Pearls event in April to laud community servant leaders .
