The Xinos, Kudos, and Hub parents of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc., Delta Delta Chapter made one hundred Valentine cards for residents of Lakeside Rehabilitation on Dunn Ave. The project was one of several community services that the youth has participated in doing the pandemic. Next month they will volunteer twice at Habijax Restore on Beach Blvd. Due to the
pandemic, visitors are not allowed in the building. The cards were presented to the facility receptionist “The youth wishes that the cards bring joy to the residents on Valentine Day as they read the various messages of love,” said Chapter President Betty Leroy. The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Incorporated is a professional organization of women in the field of education. The three-point program – Y.E.S., which stands for Youth, Education and Service, is the foundation of the organization. As a national educators’ sorority chapters have accepted the challenge and responsibility of molding and shaping the lives of youth in various communities throughout the world. Members have dedicated their professional services to carrying the torch of enlightenment everywhere. Shown are students making the cards for the rehabilitation center residents.
