Twenty Jacksonville area African-American artists are featured in the 22nd annual Through Our Eyes Exhibit opening last week inside the Ritz Museum’s gallery. The exhibit is entitled “Wouldn’t Take Nothing for My Journey: An Artistic Evolution” Each artist selected for the show submitted a minimum of three artistic works representing the journey of their professional growth and development. At least one piece was newly created specifically for this exhibit. Through Our Eyes embodies an artistic evolution for founding curator Lydia Stewart and the Jacksonville community. Shown above is artist Marsha Hatcher next to her work on display. The exhibit will run through July 31, 2015.
