Through partnerships, the Crucifixion Catholic Church has been dedicated to nearly a decade of helping needy families at Thanksgiving. “Some years ago, I told Marguerite [Warren] about the Schell-Sweet donating turkeys during the holidays. She said that she would see if her faith community would support by providing non-perishable items,” said Marie Heath, Director of EWU’s Schell-Sweet Community Center. The duo, with support from various partners, gave 60 needy families a complete Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings.
