National beauty influencer and entrepreneur Cynthia Meadows is a master hair stylist and founder of A’Bliss Studios. Her love for hair was birthed through her mom’s prayers as a child.
“Everyday she prayed and anointed my hands as she spoke the words that my gift would make room for me and may everything I touch prosper,” said Meadows.
Planting those words as seeds for success, Meadows began practicing on dolls daily and started her first hair salon in her mother’s kitchen at age 12. In an effort to give back and provide the same nurturing she received, she has dedicated her time to mentoring youth interested in the hairstyling industry through the creation of Beauty Jr. Camp. Designed by her and her team for ages 8-16, the three day forum provided aspiring professional the tools needed to excel in a billion dollar industry. “My ultimate goal was to provide resources and fundamentals needed to run a successful beauty salon/spa while inspiring them to pursue at a young age,” said Meadows.
The stylist specialty camp curriculum included information on: business fundamentals, makeup training; hair-cutting, all elements of hairstyling, creating content and leveraging social media among other topics. The final sessions consisted of graduation from A’Bliss Studios.
Since those words as seeds for success were planted, Meadows has transformed her passion for beauty into a thriving six-figure business with now over 12 years of experience in the industry specializing in healthy hair care. She has trained at the top schools of advancement such as Vidal Sassoon and platformed on various stages of styling, education and TV showcasing her hair expertise for many top brands. Her unique styles have graced the pages of Sophisticate’s Black Hair Magazine and other trade publications as she also serves a the Beauty Editor of Sheen Magazine. Meadows has worked with celebrities such as Teyana Taylor, Tasha Smith, Claudia Jordan, Tammy Roman and many more.
