The Sigma Pi Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has established its signature mentoring program at R.J. Murray Middle School in St. Augustine, Florida. The school administrators and fraternity members collaborated to select twenty five male students to participate in the SPLendid Gents program. Under the direction of the Director of Educational Activities, Christopher Jackson, the students cover various topics including: time management, conflict resolution, and etiquette. The goal of the program is to provide academic support and leadership development to the students.

Already off to an impactful start, the Sigma Pi Lambda chapter was chartered in 2019 to serve Clay, St. Johns, and Duval counties. Shown is Sigma Pi Lambda member Brian Williams mentoring to the student participants.
