Registration for 2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend Opens

Runners from across the country will have their first chance to register for the 2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend. The event is held April 18-21, 2024, at Walt Disney World Resort. Each year the runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend features a new theme and this year, it’s Embrace the Adventure. The atmosphere will draw from Disney films such as “Peter Pan,” “Up,” “The Lion King” and “Lilo & Stitch.”

The 2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend will include morning yoga and race offerings that range from a 5K to a 19.3-mile, multiple-race challenge:

runDisney Springtime Surprise Yoga (April 18) – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Neverland 5K (April 19)
Adventure Is Out There 10K (April 20)
Hakuna Matata 10-Miler (April 21)
Stitch’s ‘Ohana Challenge (April 19 – 21) – Complete the 5K, 10K and 10-Miler races to earn four medals in one weekend

There’s also a health and fitness expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, featuring the latest runDisney apparel and running equipment.

New to the race weekend is the runDisney Springtime Surprise Splash. This post-race, ticketed event will take place at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park on April 21– at night! Guests will enjoy character sightings, entertainment, dance parties, complimentary special treats and access to thrilling water attractions.

Like all runDisney races, Springtime Surprise Weekend includes popular character sightings, entertainment and cheering fans along the way. Runners of all skill levels will receive a one-of-a-kind medal and the unique opportunity to celebrate their achievement by visiting the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.

Additionally, registration opens Aug. 25, 2023, for the 2024 Virtual runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend. Whether running in a hometown park with friends or charting their own course, virtual race participants can experience the runDisney magic from anywhere. Once runners complete their races, they earn the same medals as those participating at Walt Disney World.

The 2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend is the last in the 2023-2024 race season at Walt Disney World following the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend (Nov. 2-5, 2023), the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend (Jan. 3-7, 2024) and the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (Feb. 22-26, 2024).
