As October comes to a close, dozens of women weer honored for their outstanding commitment to their health, family and the community in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The honorees were chosen for their leadership and business acumen, being a breast cancer survivor, currently fighting the disease, or transitioning from breast cancer.Powerful in Pink, sponsored by Crown Capital was held this past weekend at the Ameris Bank headquarters on the north bank.
The annual event was inspired by Jennifer Satchell, who recently transitioned from the disease. Satchell was an advocate for breast cancer and uplifted women going through the same battle as hers.
“Although, we are honored these women and were extremely happy to give them the award, the emotions of the event took many by tears,” said organizer Terrence Armand. Tiffany Ortiz a young beautiful thirty-three year old currently fighting the battle, received a standing ovation as the 126 attendees stood to their feet sending love and prayers her way.
