Zaxbys located at 3175 New Berlin Rd, is now open! The opening day events included the first 100 patrons in line would receive Zaxby’s for a year.
Friends, family and lovers of the Zaxby’s menu stood in line starting at 4 a.m. waiting for the doors to open and welcome guests to take bites out of their new menu items. Headlining the menu is the newly created “Chicken Philly,” the updated décor and the friendly staff.
Free Press staff was kindly asked to review the location and the food lunch menu. We ordered two tender combos, two cobb salads and yes, the ‘Chicken Philly” and wings too! Smiling, photographer Reginald Liner remarked, “this is quite tasty, succulent chicken and the bread is moist too,” said Liner. Photojournalist Anthony Barlow was elated to receive his salad and immediately chowed down on the mixed salad, bacon, onions, eggs and that blue cheese dressing, “talk to me now – wow, I’m taking the family there for dinner tonight,” said Barlow. Associate Editor Lynn Jones was pleased with her tender sandwich, toasted bread, crinkle fries and cole slaw medley. Oh and FYI, the chicken wings were devoured first!! “I want to thank Zaxby’s for our lunch today. I could eat this sandwich every day,” said Jones.
