Nicole Butler, Founder of A&B Productions has been on a mission to uplift and motivate youth for careers in media production. Since moving to Jacksonville from Los Angeles 10 years ago, A&B Productions has been on the front line providing platforms and workshops for youth in the areas of film, television, media and fashion.
After years of wanting to produce films, Butler’s new film, “Imagine Becoming A…” based on the beloved children’s book is in production and set to inspire young audiences to break free from digital distractions and embrace their limitless potential.
“Imagine Becoming A…” follows two young girls as they navigate a vibrant museum filled with diverse career paths, from science and arts to technology and beyond. Through engaging visuals and imaginative storytelling, the film encourages children to explore the exciting possibilities that await them. “It was exciting to see some of the youth try their hands at working the camera or sound while on set,” said Director/Producer, Nicole Butler. “They didn’t just watch; they learned, they created, they became. We wanted to create a film that not only entertains but also inspires children to dream big and realize that anything is possible.”
Filming locations included local schools, churches and the Luxury Point Studios in downtown Jacksonville. The film highlights the importance of physical activity, creativity, and hands-on learning, encouraging children to step away from screens and engage with the world around them. A&B Productions is still seeking actors to participate in a few more scenes before the film wraps production in March. The film will be premier late summer or early fall 2025.
