Born March 15th, 1926, Mrs. Nettie Bryant celebrated her 99th birthday surrounded by relatives and church members for a brunch at Golden Corral in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina. Rev. Dorwin Howard, pastor of First Cosmopolitan Baptist Church in Raleigh, read a resolution from the church along with two others from the National Newspaper Publishers Association and the Louisiana Legislature.
Bryant worked as a beautician for many years and was instrumental in assisting her husband in his many business ventures. Bryant is a proud great/grandmother and friend to her surrounding community and known for her kindness and willingness to help others in her community and church ministries. Mrs. Bryant is the wife of the former Dr. John H. Bryant; mother of Pat Bryant of New Orleans, Jacksonville, Florida and Raleigh Durham native.
