The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) – Greater Jacksonville Chapter recently honored six women for their leadership, professional achievements, advocacy and community service during an award celebration at the Elks Lodge in downtown Jacksonville.

The black-and-gold affair brought together chapter members, community leaders and supporters for an evening of recognition, networking and fellowship. Guests enjoyed a cocktail reception, dinner and entertainment by Party in the Box. D

The celebration featured the presentation of the Vanguard Women of Impact and Trailblazer awards, recognizing women whose  contribution have helped strengthen Jacksonville’s cultural, civic and professional communities.  The chapter also inducted 24 new members, expanding its network of women committed to advocacy and service.

For the past four months, the newest members engaged in an arduous intake process that included organizations education, orientation and interviews.

Among those recognized were Erin Kendrick, recipient of the Vanguard Award Winner for Arts and Culture, and Lynn Jones recipient of the Vanguard Trailblazer Award.
