For bride Tezlyn Edwards and groom Rakeem Sylvester, love was unexpected! Teslyn invited her soon to be husband to church at Bethel Baptist Institutional Church and the rest was history. After courting for over a year the groom took the big step to ask for her hand in marriage. The proposal was a social media coup! Rakeem hid the ring, silently retrieved his brides phone, took a picture of the ring and quietly texted a picture of the ring to the bride’s mother asking for her blessing. Rakeem received the answer he was looking for and vowed to be the best husband ever! Bethel Baptist Elder Connie Edwards and Elder Robert Dotson officiated the millennial couples wedding at the church. The Maid of Honor was Breauna Tyson and Best Man was Julian Nelson. Following the ceremony they happily tweeted #mrandmrssylvester.
The groom is currently employed at a local security company as a security guard, while the bride is continuing her studies at Florida State College of Jacksonville, pursuing a degree in Psychology. Mr. & Mrs. Sylvester will honeymoon for a week in Ginnie Springs, Florida. R. Silver Photo
