Local Zeta OZZ Chapter Elect New Leadership

   Continuing the 100th legacy and centennial celebration of Zeta Phi Beta, Inc., sorority, the local Omega Zeta Zeta chapter (OZZ), recently transitioned its presidential seat from past president Angela McDaniel to current member Lisa Gillette. Lisa will begin her role on July 1st.     The newest chapter in the Jacksonville community, OZZ was chartered November 7, 2011.
“Our Centennial Year has been nothing short of epic. On behalf of my sorors, friends and youth, we are excited for what is to come,” said past President Angela McDaniel. Incoming president Lisa Gillette has been a member of OZZ for five years. She is the Regulatory Department manager at Aetna Insurance Company. Gillette stated she was honored to accept the presidency position. “As Covid-19 being a major concern in the African American community, my goal as president is to utilize the sororities core values of sisterhood, scholarships, service and finer womanhood to educate and assist the underserved and bring awareness to African American health disparities, food desserts and advocate for members to provide community servicing to underserved residents to empower and uplift our communities,” said Gillette.
Zeta Phi Beta, Inc., international sorority celebrated their 100th centennial anniversary January 16th, 2020. The sorority’s annual Boule, scheduled for June 23 – 28, was cancelled due to Co-Vid 19 pandemic.
