Links Present Weekend of Service Dedicated to Wellness and the Arts

The Bold City (FL) Links, Incorporated Arts Facet committee celebrated the creative and talented students of Tiger Academy at an Arts Showcase Celebration held at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. The evening showcased the fifth grade students and their art work. This year-long enrichment program focuses on increasing and expanding art activity throughout black communities. Over 150 students and their families attended this celebration.

The weekend of service continued with the chapter hosting their sixth annual ‘Take Charge of Your Future Black Family Wellness Expo,’ in partnership with AARP of Florida.  Over 100 people attended the wellness event which showcased local vendors and included health screenings and various workshops on Mindful Meditation, Loving your Hair, and the Financial Road to Retirement.

The Bold City (FL) Links, Incorporated is a chapter of the Links, Incorporated, an international women’s volunteer organization and has been serving the Jacksonville community for nearly 30 years.
