The Jacksonville Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation Alumnae chapter sponsored their 4th annual Healthy Start 5K Run welcoming 350 runners and walkers. The walk not only raised awareness for the importance of living a healthy, fit and smart lifestyle but benefitted their community programming as well. Healthcare professionals also answered questions and provided educational resources. Also on the agenda were fun activities for the kids and family. The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation-Jacksonville is a non-profit organization that has granted over $300,000 to students pursuing post-secondary and graduate degrees through its scholarship program. They also support local young men through its Guide Right Leadership and Development Program.
