Ms. Josetta Liptrot Arnold was born on September 17, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL., to the late Ethel Liptrot and Joseph Sabria Liptrot Jr. of Jacksonville Florida. She attended Mathew Gilbert High School, and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Spelman College, where she was selected to serve at the funeral service of Martin Luther King Jr. She also earned a Masters of Education degree from The University of Phoenix. Josetta was a proud member of the local Spelman Club and The Beta Alpha Zeta chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc., where she served as a Former Chapter Basileus, Third Anti-Basileus, Southeastern Region Youth Coordinator and Chair of The Cotillion and The Storks Nest. Most recently, Josetta received the esteemed title of Zeta of the Year for 2021. She worked tirelessly in the field of education for many years until her health declined.
Josetta 
accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mt. Olive AME Church, and was a devout Christian. Her faith continued to guide her throughout life’s journey. Josetta was united in holy matrimony to Joseph Arnold in November of 1973. In June of 1980, the couple gave birth to their only daughter Joell Arnold whom Josetta affectionately referred to as her “Best Thing”. On June 26, 2021, after keeping the faith, fighting a good fight, and finishing her course God called Josetta to glory. She was preceded by her Father and Mother Joseph Sabria Liptrot II; Ethel Dakota Slee Liptrot. Janet Liptrot-Jacksonville,FL. (Sister). She leaves to cherish, a loving daughter Joell Arnold, her brothers Mr. Joseph Sabria Liptrot III (Dr. Judy Jones-Liptrot)-Jacksonville, FL., Mr. Justin Steven Liptrot (Vickii Liptrot)- Forth Worth, TX., Judy Liptrot (Sister) Jacksonville, FL. One, Uncle James Johnson, West Palm Beach, FL. and a host of relatives, beloved friends, Spelman Sisters and Sorors.
