Jags Community Technology Training Camp Nets New Ipads For Local Seniors

The Jaguars, in partnership with AT&T, First Coast YMCA and the NFL Foundation Digital Divide grant, which is part of the League’s Inspire Change hosted a Seniors Technology Training Camp at EverBank Stadium. Ninety senior citizen participants in the YMCA Silver Sneakers program were in attendance to receive basic technology and cybersecurity training as well as take advantage of breakout sessions on refilling prescriptions and telehealth appointments. This was the first time that an NFL team will use the funds to bridge the technology gap for senior citizens. The days agenda including navigating transportation and rideshare apps; mastering social media platforms; and using online city services, among other sessions. Each participant also received an iPad to take home with them.
