As an component of January being Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the Social Action Committee of the Jacksonville Section of National Council of Negro Women, Inc. in partnership with Rethreaded held a community symposium focusing on Human Trafficking in Duval County. Shedding light on the plight of victims in addition to firsthand accounts was Rethreaded founder and president Kristin Keen. , Rethreaded operates as a distribution company that sells products from likeminded businesses who also employ women who have found freedom from the sex trade.
