With the pandemic still here, and children just starting the school year, families are finding that their money is not stretching as far as it once did.  Recently, The House of Prayer teamed up with I’m A Star Foundation and the Jacksonville COVID Task Force to host ‘Feed The Family: Back 2 School Edition.’

The event took place early a.m. at The House of Prayer located on University Blvd.  Items for distribution to families included: canned goods, non-perishable items, school supplies, backpacks, household items, cleaning supplies, and more.  The Health Department provided COVID vaccinations and boosters.  In addition, the Children’s Health Partnership offered $25 incentives to those receiving the vaccine.  As children head back to school, this is the perfect time to offer vaccinations and school supplies. The House of Prayer has hosted several successful feed the family events in the past year where thousands of cars line up to receive support for their families.
