Edward Waters University (EWU) (www.cookman.edu) Athletic Director Henry Smith celebrated his milestone 60th birthday at the Riverside North event center. A graduate of Raines High School and Bethune Cookman University (www.cookman.edu), Smith’s tenure as an HBCU administrator began in 2001 when he was tapped to assist with bringing football back to EWU. In his 26 year career, smith has been instrumental in the the redevelopment of the college athletic department including everything from adding teams to the creation of the Nathaniel Glover Community stadium.
