Delta Delta Celebrates 40th Anniversary

The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Delta Delta Chapter, along with Sister Chapter Alpha Gamma, Friends in Our Lives (FIOLS), Anthropos (Men in Our Lives) held a celebration commemorating their 40 years of existence.
The honorees were charter members Yvonne Harrison, Doris Rutledge, Gloriden Norris, and Betty R. Burney. The afternoon included food, fellowship, games, a candy station and music as members danced and celebrated the honorees accomplishments. Fun, food, fellowship, and music were provided by the D.J. as members danced and celebrated the honorees accomplishments. Members especially enjoyed live caricatures drawings by artist Steven Bridges. “Considerable planning was involved in achieving the success of this event.  The Planning Committee did an awesome job,” said Chapter President Betty LeRoy.  Committee members Jacquline McKinney and Gina Katembo served as chairpersons.
The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. (NSPDK) is a nonprofit, educational sorority founded by eight educators desiring to establish a sisterhood among teachers and promote the highest ideals of the teaching profession.  Seated l-r is honorees and sorority members Yvonne Harrison, Doris Rutledge, Gloriden Norris, and Betty R.
