Dads, Kids & Community Clean with a Purpose

Mike Robinson and O.G. Dads Incorporated are showing how service and celebration can go hand in hand. Partnering with St. Johns Riverkeeper and Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the group hosted a waterfront cleanup and block party at Harborview Boat Ramp along the St. Johns River.

Located along the Ribault River, a tributary of the St. Johns, Harborview Boat Ramp sits in the heart of some of Jacksonville’s most historic Black neighborhoods. Efforts to maintain and protect these spaces go beyond beautification—they reflect a commitment to water quality, community pride, and preserving access for future generations.

Founded in 2021, O.G. Dads are rooted in a mission of love, attention, devotion, and dedication. That mission was on full display as fathers, children, and neighbors came together to clean, connect, and celebrate community.

Supported by a Placekeeping Grant through the Resilient Ribault initiative, the event empowered local residents to take pride in their shared spaces. More than just a cleanup, it was a reminder that caring for the community can be both meaningful and uplifting. Building on past success—including winning the inaugural Jacksonville Litter League—O.G. Dads continue to lead by example, proving that when fathers show up, communities thrive.
