The 4th Annual Community Baby Shower, “Nurturing Families, Building Strong Beginnings,” was held this past weekend at the Legends Center, proved to be an impactful and heartwarming success.
The event was a collaboration of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority chapter Gamma Rho Omega, and surrounding NPHC chapters and Agape Family Health to empower and uplift our local families and community initiatives.The event served more than 100 expectant mothers, fathers, and families by providing essential prenatal care, vital resources, and meaningful connections through strong community collaboration.
Attendees benefited from a wealth of information shared by dedicated community vendors and an expert panel featuring a pediatrician, OB/GYN, and lactation consultant. Families left not only empowered with knowledge, but also with essential items such as car seats, strollers, cribs, and more.
