As the month of October progresses and breast cancer awareness campaigns are at the forefront of Americans ‘thinking pink,” one local entreprenuer broughret the effort to her hair salon. Gail Carter-Cade, owner of GA LA CAR Beauty Salon hosted the “Look Good as You Should” last weekend as an awareness event and fundraiser for the American Cancer society.  Breast cancer disappoint effects Black women.

Offering clients and visitors free makeovers, her goal was to stimulate and rejuvenate the desire for women to maintain their appearances as they physically
and emotionally work through their illness.
“The best thing one can do is be there for them, give them the encouragement and the strength they need to fight this deadly  disease,” said Breast Cancer survivor Darlena Hall, shown with event attendees Lauren Scott, Salon Owner Gail Carter-Cade and Leola Coleman.
