Good food, cold brews, bourbon and the blues brought supporters together for a cause as the 13th annual Blues, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ raised more than $47,000 for the historic Florida Theatre.
The fundraiser at Bowing Oaks. Bowing Oaks drew guests for an evening of live music, unlimited local barbeque, craft beer and a curated selection of bourbon. Entertainment included performances by The Beale Street Band and Neil Dixon & Smokestack. The event marked the fourth year the fundraiser was held at Bowing Oaks. Proceeds supported the nonprofit Florida Theatre’s work to preserve the historic venue and continue bringing entertainment to Jacksonville. Florida Theater Interim President/VP of Programming Kevin Stone thanked sponsors, vendors, members and supporters, saying every contribution helped further the Theatre’s mission.
