Republican Presidential Candidate Dr. Ben Carson was in North Florida on Monday, February 8th for a breakfast fundraiser for his campaign. Dr. Carson and his wife Candy met with supporters from Duval and St. Johns counties in the home of Dr. Darrin and Sue Willingham. Dr. Carson, a retired neurosurgeon, author and philanthropist, is running for President of the United States at the request of millions of American citizens. He is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest civilian honor given in this country, and the NAACP’s highest honor, the Spingarn Award. Dr. Carson and Mrs. Carson pleasantly mingled with supporters Helen Chestnut of The First Coast Community Outreach and Pastor Leon Keys of The Christ of the Living Cornerstone Ministries, pictured with Dr. Ben Carson. Dr. Carson is continuing on the campaign trail. The next primaries are in New Hampshire and South Carolina. Florida voters will be able to participate in the Presidential Primary on March 15th. Anyone wishing to have their voice heard and be eligible to vote for Dr. Carson in this important Primary election must be registered with the Republican party by February 15, 2016.
