The Sigma Pi Lambda chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. held their new member presentation at The Jessie Ball DuPont Center attended by a bevy of well wishers. The Spring 2024 initiates are Ivan Smith, Cordell Manns, Renardo Perkins, Joe Brown, Larry Allen, Kemal Gasper, and Charles Harbin.
Douglas Young, the first chartered President of the chapter, was the guest speaker of the evening. The Sigma Pi Lambda chapter serves the community through endeavors such as the Florida Department of Transportation Adopt-a-Highway program on U.S. Highway 17 and the Men of Excellence (M.O.E.) mentoring program for high school boys.
