The Alpha Beta Eta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. hosted the ‘Build Your Economic Wealth Community Forum’ on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Beaver Street Enterprise Center. Speakers included Ed Gaston, COO of Wealth Watchers, Teresa Smith of Bank of America, Tocarra Williams, retired WNBA player and real estate investor, and Millicent Daniels, Esquire, The Daniels Law Firm. Attendees learned about credit, mortgage lending, home buying, and real estate investing. While the forum focused on the importance of building economic wealth, attendees learned critical lessons on how to protect their assets from a legal, tax, and risk perspective as various insurance and estate planning tools were outlined. Door prizes included JEA tool kits and sweet treats sponsored by The Arble Baking Company, a local minority-owned bakery.
