Jax Federal Credit Union has appointed Jenna Dobbins to its Board of Directors, re-elected three of its current Directors and appointed a member representative, Senovia Portis. These updates were approved at the credit union’s annual meeting, which was held on December 21.

Senovia PortisDobbins is the Global Head of Human Resources for Pontoon Solutions, as well as a double graduate of Jacksonville University with multiple years of HR industry experience. She has participated in numerous industry organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management, Jacksonville Chapter, and was named “Volunteer of the Year” in 2014 by the HR Florida State Council.

In addition to Dobbins’s appointment, the credit union’s members approved board-appointment Rodomir Desir. Both Dobbins and Desir fill retiring director seats with terms ending in September 2022. Incumbents, Joseph W. Sharp and Pat O’Neill were re-elected as board members for the standard 3-year term. Senovia [Portis] will serve as a member representative, a non-elected role.

“Strong leadership is essential to the success of any credit union, and our ability to navigate the challenges of 2020 is a direct reflection of our exemplary Board of Directors,” said Mary Svoboda, Interim President and CEO of Jax Federal Credit Union. “We look forward to welcoming Jenna and Synovia in their new roles, and continuing to work alongside our newly re-elected Directors who have worked so hard on behalf of our membership.”

Service on the Board of Directors is voluntary. For more information on the credit union’s board, visit jaxfcu.org/governance.
