Tameka Flowers, who has been with Firehouse for 15 years, started working in a local Firehouse restaurant as GM and worked her way up to become a manager of company store leaders at Firehouse Subs Headquarters. Passionate for developing leaders, she was tapped to travel to Switzerland last year to help train employees prior to the first Firehouse Subs restaurant opening abroad.
Flowers is a fervent supporter of the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation which has granted more than $5.1 million in lifesaving equipment to local heroes across the greater Jacksonville area. A portion of every purchase at Firehouse Subs benefits the Foundation, providing tools and resources to first responders and public safety organizations across the country. After she tragically lost her son at the age of 23, she learned that the first responders that reported to the accident scene didn’t have the correct equipment to administer to her son’s injury.
