Magnet offerings include career and technical education, visual and performing arts, video gaming and design, medical arts, gifted and academically-talented, dual language and military and leadership academies.
Every school in the district including charter and private schools in addition to community resources, were represented. The event also offered parents a chance to get a head start on their magnet and special transfer option applications. Dozens of computer kiosks were set up so that parents could register for their parent/guardian account with support from School Choice staff.
Parents are encourage to find the right school for their youth and can visit schools, go on school tours, talk with school leaders, and check out school websites.  ALL magnet and special option transfer applications are online this year and the deadline is Feb. 28, 2019.
