Family, friends and community supporters celebrated the introduction of the newest sorority members as they were officially welcomed into the sisterhood of Zeta. As the chapter continues to uphold the vision of Zeta’s founders, the addition of the twenty-three inductees marks an exciting new chapter in its history.  Chartered in 2011, on the advent of its 15th year anniversary, the new members represent their 14th intake bringing their chapter roster to over 70 members.

The Omega Zeta Zeta Chapter is one of eight chapters in the area and serves Jacksonville’s Southside and Beaches communities through programs that reflect the sorority’s founding principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.

The chapter’s ongoing service initiatives include its Adopt-A-School partnership, preparing and serving meals for residents of The American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge, and organizing regular food drives to support local food banks among other activities to support the community.
