WJCT Public Media and the Jacksonville Music Experience (JME) spotlighted artists making noise in Northeast Florida for an evening of local music at the Blue Jay Listening Room in Jacksonville Beach. The series was created in 2022 with the intention of uniting local fans with their favorite local artists at venues right in their backyards. This year for one night only, the show expanded the showcase to allow anyone who missed last year’s events to experience the comradery in a cozy venue. The JME nonprofit supports music platform based in Duval. The organization features curated playlists, reviews, profiles, music history, think-pieces and concert recommendations.
Artists on this month’s bill included: Matthew Shaw, Arts and Culture Editor of WJCT Public Media; Corey Kilgannon, singer-songwriter; Luci Lind, indie-R&B singer and producer; Daddy, electropop artist and Ebonique, neo-soul and R&B singer shown with Jarrett Carter on the guitar.
