William R. Raines High School 50th year weekend celebration was on full blast over the weekend as classes from 1966 to the present celebrated Raines history and legacy. On Friday night classmates came together for a mixer at the Legends Center on Soutel Dr. Over 300 classmates were excited to reunite in the festive atmosphere. The DJ was in full swing playing the hits and made sure to call up each class, football players, teachers and administrators. Classmates danced the night away to songs from their high school days, while greeting old friends from “back in the day”. On Saturday, a sold out all class gala at the Prime Osborn Center. On Sunday, Raines classmates visited Joint-Heirs church for worship services. The entire weekend of events held true to the Raines “Vikings” famous slogan, “Ichiban” that they are still “number one”
