Sonnys BBQ Random Act of Kindness Delivers Free Hot Meals

Sonny’s BBQ, visited Jacksonville homeless shelters this week to provide meals to those in need. The visit was part of Sonny’s Random Acts of BBQ initiative, which is Sonny’s way of giving back to its local communities. Sonnys outreach efforts fed nearly 100 people across the four Jacksonville shelters. The seventh annual ‘Random Acts of BBQ,’ in honor of its 57th anniversary, also visits schools, hospitals, veterans, law enforcement, first responders and more to delve into stories of kindness, community, and the spirit of BBQ. Sonny’s BBQ, was founded by Floyd “Sonny” Tillman and his wife Lucille in 1968, started as a single restaurant in Gainesville, Florida.
