Author Rico Davis an alumni of Edward Waters College recently held a book signing at Red Gill Bistro on the Southside. Friends and family came out to support this long time Jacksonville resident whom you may have seen on CW-17 television covering the Jacksonville Giants basketball games or on the sidelines of the Jacksonville Sharks with “I Know Jax” online. When asked why write a book called 1st Round Draft Pick? He said after a year of writing blogs in a magazine about relationships the response from readers made him take it a little serious. One hot topic he covers is interracial relationships. “It just happens. the people that seem to care about interracial relationships are the ones that talk down about it.
