Selfie Showroom Showcases Entrepreneurship and Style

Guests lined up to select their experience at the Selfie Showroom.

The Selfie Showroom celebrated their three year milestone by inviting families to their ‘Selfie Fest’ recently held on their campus located near Lem Turner Roses Shopping Plaza on the northside.

The day’s agenda included music, shopping, prizes and access to special photo experiences and a self-guided tour inside the selfie showroom warehouse. This unique photo venue is the only one of its kind owned and operated by a Black female business owner Carissa Glanton. Wearing her signature electric purple hair color as she welcomes you into the 2,400 square feet selfie showroom at the anniversary.

The photographer turned business owner built the showroom because she wanted to create a space where multiple photographers could conduct simultaneous photo shoots.

“To keep up with Instagram and Tik-Tok trends I had to find a way to give clients options to put the camera in their own hands and create unique photos of their own,” said Glanton.

The interactive showroom and colorful backdrops keep customers coming back for more. Each stage has ring lights and mounts for your smartphone so guests can create the perfect self-portrait. There’s even a 360 video booth for guests to create fun customized reels like their favorite Tik-Tok stars.

Glanton says having a business on the Northside has not been easy. Glanton stated that the showroom’s appeal to customers who live across the bridge has required some creative messaging about the positive changes on the Northside where there aren’t many museums or photo studios like it in town or across the state. Glanton hopes new customers discover the Selfie Showroom in time for the holidays. For a special self-guided tour and receive 20% off when you book online visit www.selfieshowroom.com.
