Ruby Mae Myers was born July 13th, 1941 in Gainesville, Florida. She died Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Jacksonville Florida. Her final days were spent surrounded by family that Ruby had touched in some way throughout her very memorable life.
When healthy she was an active member of the Crucifixion Catholic Church, the Crucifixion Catholic Church Choir, the Zeta Amicae of Jacksonville, and the Knights of Peter Claver – Ladies Auxiliary.
Early in life Ruby attended nursing school, worked for the school board and eventually focused most of her time raising her children Darlene, Kevin, Nicole and her grandson Corey.
Ruby could always brighten up a room with just her smile and laugh. She always had a way with words and was never afraid of speaking her mind. She was a matriarch of the Myers family and she will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her brother Rudolph Butler and her daughter Darlene Myers.
Ruby is survived by her husband Fred Myers, brother Robert Head, son Kevin Myers, daughter Nicole Myers, grandson Corey Myers (Erika Myers), granddaughter Kiara Roberson (Aaron Roberson), granddaughter Chloe Myers, great grandson Avery Roberson, several cousins, other family members and most importantly her dog Goldie and Nikki’s dog Niko.
