The William M. Raines Class of 1979 hosted the 2nd Annual William M. Raines Golf Tournament and Scholarship Fundraiser last week. Viking alumni and friends stepped on the Hyde Park Golf Course last weekend for a fun family event. There were 80 participants in the tournament which included a Tee-Off luncheon for non-golfers. All proceeds will be awarded to deserving Raines graduates seeking to attend college. Raines 79’Alumni Alexander Mainor remarked, “In many cases we are the students’ only hope and positive example in their lives. It’s an honor to have been a student of the Raines great legacy, but more important honoring to continue a commitment to a great institution. There is nothing a Raines Valiant Viking cannot accomplish”. Pictured are Raines Viking Alumni representing graduating classes from 1960’s to 1990’s.
