Enjoying the Annual Jacksonville Veterans Day Parade are retired service men Lee Brown and William J. Smith II. Both are members of the Jacksonville Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart MOPH. Brown was wounded during a terrorist attack in Berlin, Germany and Smith was wounded in Vietnam. The mission of the Military Order of the Purple Heart is to foster an environment of goodwill and camaraderie among combat wounded veterans, promote patriotism, support necessary legislative initiatives, and most importantly, provide service to all veterans and their families. We thank them for their service.
