Lodge 251 Continues Advocating Ending Violence in Urban Communities as Jax Marks 100th Murder

Fidelity Lodge 251 held their 5th annual Anti-Violence Walk and Picnic at A. Philip Randolph Heritage Park, attracting hundreds int eh community to personal wellness and all aspects of violence that encompasses the Eastside corridor. Community advocate and veteran politician Tony Hill spoke to the crowd concerning crime awareness, police brutality and understanding the law.
“Lodge members are committed to saving communities from acts of violence. We do not want to hear about another young man or woman being gun downed,” said lodge member and organizer Kenneth Wright. The day included youth activities, food, games and vendors handing out pamphlets concerning community meetings, mental health facilities and counseling centers.
Fidelity 251 is a lodge of the Fraternal Order of Free and Accepted Masons MWUGL PHA of Florida. Jacksonville’s 100th homicide of 2019 was recorded in August.
