The International Longshoreman Association held their 10th annual “Labor of Love” Christmas Toy Giveaway to the delight of nearly 100 children. Hundreds of Longshoremen, families and friends enjoyed food, drinks, music and a jolly Santa onsite as they watched the youth have their pick of a bevy of toys. The children were also privy to free haircuts and hair care products to be ready and groomed for Santa’s arrival! The local union, which employs hundreds of men and women operating Jacksonville’s port, closes out their year with the reelection of the union president Vincent Cameron and its first elected female officer, Ms. Jan Clark, in the unions history.
