Transit Driver and Maintenance Appreciation Day is recognized nationally to show thanks to the frontline employees who keep transportation systems running across the country. This year, it is especially important due to the nation’s fight to contain the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Today, their public service is helping health care workers get to hospitals and others get to any number of destinations, even through a State of Emergency. The JTA celebrates these bus operators and maintenance staff for keeping our city moving. Transit Drivers and Maintenance workers are the employees driving and keeping JTA’s fleet going, even during challenging times which is vital to public service. To mark the occasion, JTA provided gift bags for all bus operators and maintenance technicians. Shown are transit works displaying their gift bags.
