Over the weekend friends and family were invited to a Garden of Love celebration for Mrs. Jimmie Pearl Harper. Harpers 85th birthday was held at the Legends Center on the Northside. The highlight of the afternoon was her husband’s account of their meeting, which made Mrs. Harper smile from ear to ear! Mrs. Harper, a former educator is remembered in the school system for her firmness, fairness and love. Jimmie Pearl received lots of hugs and reflections over the years making the day as special as the queen.
