More than 350 business people attended the JSEB and Supplier Summit August 23rd at the Schultz Center.

The morning session focused primarily on Jacksonville Small & Emerging Businesses (JSEBs). “It was a time for business owners to network with JEA employees and learn about JSEB opportunities at JEA,” said Karen McAllister, JEA Public Information Officer. The afternoon session was an overview of JEA’s spend plan for the next three years.

The summit was designed for any company that wants to be a JEA supplier. JEA spent $50 million with JSEBs and Diverse businesses in 2024. In attendance providing remarks were suppliers, providing small, emerging and diverse business owners with information about upcoming opportunities and education on how to successfully do business with JEA.  Additionally JEA procurement experts presented info on upcoming projects that are aligned for JSEB participation. Presentations included timelines and high-level descriptions, and other critical information for large suppliers planning upcoming bids. JEA is a municipal utility providing safe, reliable and affordable services to more than one million residents across four Northeast Florida counties.
