    Jack & Jill Inducts 13 New Mothers into Organization Centered on Families

    The Jacksonville Chapter of Jack & Jill of America, Incorporated recently welcomed thirteen new members to the national charitable community service organization comprised primarily of African-American families. The initiation ceremony of new members and the celebratory dinner took place at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and was attended by sixty-five guests.

    Over the past 46 years, the mothers of the Jacksonville Chapter of Jack & Jill have worked to develop and execute programs which reflect the objectives of the National Organization while meeting the challenges of change. To that aim, the Jacksonville Chapter has focused its current programming to promote leadership and inspire youth to “Make A Difference” in their community.

    The ceremony culminated several months of bonding and a community service activity benefitting locally homeless children.

    “Through our multi faceted Programing Jack & Jill of America, Inc. has been growing leaders nationally for over 77 years, we are excited to welcome these 13 talented new mothers into our chapter to assist us in Making a Difference in our community and beyond,” said Chapter President Pat Sams.

    Founded January 24, 1938 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is a national non-profit family organization dedicating its resources toward improving the quality of life, especially that of African – American children. Through the programming activities of the local chapter and funding provided by its philanthropic arm (the Jack and Jill of America Foundation, Inc.) Jack and Jill of America, Inc. achieves its primary objective of stimulating growth and development of all children through various educational, cultural, civic, recreational, social and service programs for youth.
