Health At-Home COVID-19 Test Kits Now Available Online from Walmart and Sam’s Club

By Victor Omondi – On Thursday, Walmart and Sam’s Club announced that they’re selling Covid-19 test collection kits online, both nasal swab and saliva testing kits.

According to Lori flees, the Senior Vice president and COO of Walmart U.S. Health and Wellness, the two retailers have endeavored to make shopping as smooth for their customers in the best way possible by providing them with options throughout the pandemic. “Now, we’re applying that same lens to how we can provide access to COVID-19 testing to as many people as possible in ways that best align with their needs.” She added.

The kits, whose prices range from $99 and $135 depending on the delivery mode, are obtained after the customers purchase a code that directs them to a health survey. Upon completion of the survey, a physician’s order is produced if need be and the purchase is finalized.

The customer collects the personal sample on receipt of the kit and mails it to the lab in order to get the results which are expected to be ready in a span of 24 to 48 hours after the samples are received at the lab. Some kits come with a telehealth call should the results turn positive, said Walmart.

At the beginning of the pandemic, Walmart set up drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites in store parking lots all through the state and together with its partners, now support close to 600 locations countrywide. Their testing kits can be found at my lab box, an at-home test collection company, and also online at and

I’m incredibly proud to work for a company that continues to identify ways to help provide access to COVID testing while maintaining high expectations for the quality of testing and making the safety of our associates and customers a priority,” said Lori.
